Coaches must constantly prove themselves in their profession. This is not only true in the open market but also when they are listed in the coaching pools of large corporations. Often, the coachee receives an assignment from the coach, and it is essential to establish a certain significance during the initial meeting. The coachee should feel that the coach is capable of making an accurate assessment of their situation and can offer new perspectives. Transactional analysis provides excellent tools to understand what is really going on early on and to ask targeted questions based on that understanding. The coachee quickly builds trust when they sense that someone is not just fumbling in the dark but truly understands them and clearly knows what they are doing. This work presents numerous opportunities for the practical application of the model.
