Ali is highly gifted and therefore seems a bit exotic to her classmates. In the house next door, a young skater named Kevin moves in, who had to end his professional career due to a serious accident. Ali gets to know Kevin, they go skiing together, and he teaches her how to snowboard. When his skater friends come to visit, Ali experiences for the first time that she doesn't feel like an outsider among other young people. Kevin and she fall in love and both experience their first relationship. However, Ali senses that Kevin keeps distancing himself from her. Then he suddenly disappears. He doesn't respond to Ali's calls, only sends a text message. Ali is desperate. When Kevin finally returns, not only does his disappearance become clear, but also his reticence.
