Blogger Sophia Lindberg interviews people without them knowing who she is and what she plans to do with their answers. She finds Peter Hiller's face to be particularly promising. In a bar, she encounters the relatively unknown crime author. However, after the interview, she feels quite disillusioned. She warns her readers that Hiller is a bore in every way. He confessed to her that he is a masturbator, but he doesn't do it for pleasure; rather, he does it to prevent prostate cancer. After the blog is published, Peter Hiller panics. Having laid bare his tumultuous life in detail before Sophia, he is convinced that no one will like him anymore, except for his dog and his grandson.
