This book attempts to compile a large number of theories, tables, data, rules, laws, and regulations necessary for shipbuilding into a systematically organized whole. For a long time, these two volumes published in 1910 were the standard in shipbuilding. There are no aspects of shipbuilding that are not thoroughly covered. The auxiliary book is primarily intended to save shipbuilding engineers the time and effort of searching through old issues and compilations, which they could hardly do without due to the sparse and hard-to-access domestic literature. It should provide students with ample material for carrying out practical designs and, on the other hand, also serve designers of ship machinery, officers of the naval and merchant marine, shipowners, water sports enthusiasts, and others close to shipbuilding.
