The first volume presented German history up to the year 1806. This volume continues it to the present day. The major political contexts are also traced here through significant events. However, starting from the 19th century, economic developments and social conflicts increasingly influenced politics, leading to greater attention being paid to economic and social history. The global interconnections, which are expressed in the advancing economic and political integration, are also examined in terms of their impact on Germany in this presentation.
