Marta-Maria is imaginative and linguistically gifted, creative and exuberant – a lovable challenge! She lives with the very wise cat Iwan Iwanowitsch and her father, who is plump and cozy, but sometimes feels a bit overwhelmed by his imaginative and willful child. When Marta-Maria pushes things too far and her father doesn't know how to help anymore, he calls his friends: the highly intelligent Professor Kuttelpfanne, who knows a solution for almost every problem; Zweinullsieben, an author who writes stories for children's radio; and the lovable Carmen Dudel, who has a lot of understanding for little girls. One of them always manages to follow Marta-Maria into her imaginative worlds and safely bring her back out.
