Product details
In his study, Jan Hoff demonstrates that since the mid-1960s, the theoretical de-dogmatization of Marxism has led to a diverse and fruitful array of Marx interpretations, as well as a critical social theory oriented towards Marx's critique of political economy, gaining unprecedented momentum in numerous countries around the world. In particular, the scientific engagement with the various drafts of "Capital" has consistently evolved over the past five decades. This work examines the globalization of the Marx debate, the complex web of international theoretical references in the tension between science and politics, the transfer of theories, and the formation of schools of thought across national and linguistic boundaries. It breaks with the theoretical provincialism that has particularly characterized the German Marx discussion, which has persisted stubbornly until now.
