For a long time, Master Mario has been traveling the land with his puppets. The audience in the theater delights every time a lazy prince becomes a hardworking farmer and a prince chooses not the boring princess as his bride, but the clever girl. However, the puppets want to decide for themselves. They cut their strings and become what they have long wanted to be: Queen Willnix becomes Sorceress Willwas, Court Jester Lachtnix becomes Clown Lachtwas, but King Tutnix remains King Tutnix. Mario is horrified until he realizes that the desire for freedom among his puppets cannot be stopped. From now on, they perform together: the puppets in self-chosen roles - and Mario as a giant.
