The social has always been medial, and the medial has always been social. The materiality of cooperation thus inquires into the material conditions and media practices of cooperation. Cooperation is understood as a reciprocal interaction that can occur with or without consensus, with or without the co-presence of the involved actors. The material conditions of cooperation are media as artifacts, bodies, texts, images, as well as infrastructures that enable, condition, and shape reciprocal production, and are themselves the result of such reciprocal productions.
