The notebooks are suitable for individual use during phases of independent work, for practicing and deepening newly introduced content through self-directed study, as well as for differentiated homework. The revision is based on proven principles such as a course-independent practice program, emphasis on the foundational competence of "numerical fluency," focus on arithmetic content, the ability to work independently, and a clearly structured layout. Additionally, the following new focal points have been integrated: tasks that encourage exploration and research, recognizing and applying calculation tricks, tasks for pattern recognition, creative handling of mistakes, and informal assessments. The "Word Problems 3/4" notebook also covers the competence area of "data, frequency, and probability" according to general educational standards. In addition to word problems across all important areas of measurement, child-friendly tasks from this field are also offered.
