Mathematical methods and concepts have become essential tools in the natural sciences. Building on the mathematics curriculum in high schools and specialized secondary schools, the authors compile a package of mathematical knowledge that scientists today require. They successfully combine mathematical precision with motivating examples and scientific applications.
