Gerhard Rühm, the classic of language-experimental poetry, celebrates his 80th birthday in 2010. For many decades, he has embraced all the boundaries of literature and shaped them with inexhaustible creativity. One of the centers of his work is his contributions to theater. Now, for the first time, the fifth volume of his "Collected Works" presents a complete collection of his plays: all mini-plays, Hanswurst pieces, dialect plays, conversational pieces, conceptual and action pieces, puppet plays, and pantomimes, as well as adaptations of works by Klabund, Wedekind, and Wilde, alongside Rühm's own classics. Additionally, a multitude of previously unpublished pieces and newer works are included. This nearly encyclopedic project, initiated by Parthas Verlag, continues with this volume published by Matthes & Seitz Berlin, where the previously released volumes are also available.
