In the context of the Family Synod, the term "gender" has repeatedly come up. Right-wing political and church circles associate it with the dissolution of traditional family models and conventional roles for men and women. The term and its concerns are broadly placed under suspicion without being clarified in detail. The aim of this book is to contribute to a factual and constructive engagement with the challenges of gender relations and gender justice for the church and theology from various theological and pastoral perspectives, as well as by looking at the international context.
