Product details
Taiji is mostly referred to as shadow boxing in this country and serves to combat inner enemies, illness, and weakness. It promotes self-confidence, concentration, harmony of the soul, flexibility, and physical condition. This book was developed with Master Xiao Ping Zhang and illustrates the movements of Taiji through more than 200 master photos: For each phase of Taiji, the posture and coordination of the activities of the body, arms, hands, legs, feet, and eyes are specified. Directional arrows and a clear system for orientation according to cardinal directions enable the reader to follow the movement phases. Taiji Quan is designed as a practical exercise book for the 24 movements of the Yang style of the Peking school.
