Krowottn, Lackl, Bankatn, Zigeina, Saubuam, Drackn, Halunkn, Lausbuam, Pumpanickl, and several others have become part of this dialect version of the notorious villains Max and Moritz from Wilhelm Busch's "Bubengeschichte in sieben Streichen" - making them true little Bavarians! Consequently, they continue their inventive mischief in Bavarian, more specifically in Lower Bavarian dialect. The home of their victims - d Henna Boitin, da Schneida Beck, da Lehrer Lämpl, da Onkl Fritz, da Moasta Becka, and da Mecknbaua - can be found in the same linguistic landscape between Regensburg and Passau, the Bavarian Forest, and Landshut. This dialect adaptation does not aim to compete with the brilliant linguistic wit of Wilhelm Busch and his mastery of verse. It merely seeks to retell the well-known and beloved story in a dialectal diction.
