Product details

The objective of the work was to contribute to the modeling and simulation of tool wear in machining processes during continuous cutting. To achieve this, a mechanism-based wear rate model was developed based on tribological analogy experiments and coupled with numerical chip formation simulations to simulate wear in the turning process. An experimental validation was carried out by comparing the simulations with the external longitudinal turning process.
