The study book focuses on reading and its promotion in the context of multilingualism. The first part presents the fundamentals of language- and subject-crossing reading promotion from the perspectives of both German and foreign language didactics, as well as the latest research findings on the development of reading competence. The second part illustrates, through practice-oriented concepts, the significance of multilingual reading promotion for schools.
