In Basel, everything is always in motion: the Rhine, the ferries, the drummers and pipers, Tinguely's artworks, the small-mindedness and the spirit of great thinkers, and even the ground itself. In a limited space, the buildings reach for the sky, just like the stock prices of chemical companies, whose only constant is change. Today, it's called life sciences. People commute to the Rhine knee from across all borders and through all waterways, airways, and land routes. Crowds have immigrated here, passed through, and stayed for varying lengths of time. Daniela Engist, a border crosser between Freiburg and Basel, embarks on her own personal exploration of the area, trying to avoid the usual suspects, yet happily stumbling upon them.
