Despite relevant works in church education, teachers are not the only ones facing a significant challenge when exploring a church with students. How can we bring children and young people closer to the church? This question serves as the starting point for the present book, which aims to convey a holistic understanding of the church, its mission, and its uniqueness, while making the history of faith tangible. This work offers didactic and methodological suggestions as well as concretely developed guidelines for practical implementation regarding the planning, execution, and follow-up of a church exploration, ensuring that the experience and learning on-site lead to lasting success. Thus, multidimensionality and dynamism are at the forefront, shifting the perspective from viewing the church as a transcendent, unchanging entity to recognizing its vibrancy and fostering an individual approach.
