From the mountain gorillas in the highlands of Rwanda to the Komodo dragons of Indonesia, from Indian lions to wolves in Romania and the giant whales of the world's oceans: more and more animals are threatened with extinction. The famous wildlife filmmaker Andreas Kieling gets closer to them than anyone else. Since the early 1990s, he has been observing endangered animals in the wild and has witnessed dramatic changes in biodiversity. Now, he has once again traveled the world for two years, swimming with Australia's saltwater crocodiles, coming face to face with African elephants, Himalayan wild sheep, and polar bears in the Arctic. He impressively recounts his experiences with these wild animals, whose habitats urgently need protection.
