The unknown work in the shadow of 'Doctor Zhivago' - on the occasion of Boris Pasternak's 125th birthday on February 10, 2015. When 'Doctor Zhivago' was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1958, one person was missing: its creator. Boris Pasternak was denied permission to leave Russia by the authorities, and his author remained in the dark. Pasternak's life tells the story of the entire last century: as a 16-year-old, he played Scriabin, he studied philosophy in Marburg, exchanged letters with Rilke, and was friends with Akhmatova, Mayakovsky, and Mandelstam. Unlike them, he survived the Stalinist terror and took revenge in 'Doctor Zhivago'. In a three-volume edition of his poems, stories, and letters, we present the previously unknown work of one of Russia's greatest poets.
