Product details
Hegel's Philosophy of Right is one of the most significant works of modern legal and political philosophy. In it, he outlines a philosophy of objective spirit, partly drawing on earlier natural law and partly considering the political and legal situation following the French Revolution and at the beginning of the Restoration period. Since its first publication in the winter of 1820/21, the fundamental ideas have been the subject of intense philosophical and political debates. The completely revised edition is based on the critical edition from 2009-2011, edited by Klaus Grotsch, and presents the text according to the first edition along with detailed explanatory notes from volume 14.3 of the collected works.
