The new edition within the Philosophische Bibliothek, which was procured by Jens Timmermann, offers the complete text of the two original editions of 1781 and 1787. The Kantian text was very carefully adapted to today's orthographical rules while preserving the punctuation and linguistic peculiarities. The semantically important corrections suggested by later editors (not only of the Academy Edition) are listed at the bottom of the page where they are not included in the text. All significant differences between the original editions are highlighted in italics, while major differences in entire text pieces - for example in the introduction and in the chapter on Phaenomena and Noumena - have been contrasted synoptically so that the type and extent of the revision can be read immediately. The completely newly edited study edition follows the basic principle.
