In pedagogical processes, things are interwoven with people in many different ways, from spatial socialization to learning about intelligent technologies. This volume traces these entanglements of people and things in their educational significance. To this end, the materiality of pedagogical processes (socialization, education, learning, upbringing) is examined from the perspectives of the humanities and social sciences. The special volume thus combines historical insights, empirical analysis, and theoretical-philosophical foundations from various disciplines.
