Agility with Democratic Principles Agile strategies leave behind elaborate plans and instead rely on a constant flow of orientation goals, employee ideas, customer interests, and ongoing adaptation processes. Our digitized world is already too complex and volatile for long-term goals. Does agility thus become the Holy Grail for the service desert of Germany? Or the solution to the ongoing problem of employee motivation? Or do constant reactivity and self-optimization lead to chaos and burnout? To prevent this from happening, we should accompany the dynamic, youthful agility with two mature, adult siblings named democracy and ethics. It would be a shame for agility to become an end in itself. The principles of agility have too much to offer: we could rein in our perfectionism and instead learn to improvise more.
