The learning and workbook provides the theoretical foundations as well as the basic functions of database software, along with the relevant criteria for building and maintaining a database. To align with the didactic concept of competency orientation, this learning and workbook offers a corresponding situation at the beginning of each topic area that students must work on. The starting point for each situation is a model company. The subsequent tasks can be largely completed independently by the students or in teams or groups, after acquiring the necessary subject knowledge (information/materials in the appendix). Each situation is supplemented by exercises. Microsoft Access (version 2013) is used as the software.
