Paul Helmer oscillates between two worlds. One is the advertising business in London, the other a German suburb in the Taunus region, where his wife and their adult daughter Judith live, who is in trouble. This trouble may be related to money, but perhaps it also involves a deeper guilt from which she fled back to her parents' house from a Danish commune at the end of summer. A longing drives the family. They seek redemption in different ways: Paul Helmer with a vague hope in his invisible client Faisal, a man of fantastic wealth and equal unpredictability. Helmer's wife Inge seeks help from a healer who at least understands something about people. Judith, the daughter, seems to be beyond the community, beyond what is still binding for her parents despite everything. Andreas Martin Widm.
