The collected volume, resulting from the 14th workshop on the history of concentration camps, deals with the formation, change, and representation of memories of the Nazi concentration camps. Four thematic sections present works on national and transnational memories of the camps, forgotten victim groups, memories of perpetrators, and concentration camp memorials as sites of remembrance. The studies are partly comparative in nature and broaden the perspective on the European dimension of memory.
