Storytelling is a fundamental form of understanding reality and social behavior. In many areas of everyday life, we orient ourselves and communicate through narratives: whether we are reading a journalistic report, making a statement in court, or describing our symptoms to a doctor - in one way or another, we are constantly receiving and producing narratives that make statements about our reality and thereby co-construct it. The volume "Reality Narratives" enables an intensive interdisciplinary engagement with this topic for the first time and provides a systematic overview of the most important fields of non-literary storytelling in institutions and everyday life: historiography, journalism, medicine, natural sciences, psychology, law, religion, economics, storytelling on the internet, and storytelling in moral-ethical discourse.
