How is our environment shaped? And how does this influence perception, ideas, and physical well-being? Micha Zweifel understands these processes as sculptural questions and translates them into his work. In his sculptures, reliefs, and installations, he draws on everyday motifs: a sleeping dog with a fly on its nose, a parked car, or a close-up of a hedge. Whether figurative or abstract, Micha Zweifel's objects and protagonists are often found in provisional situations that evoke narrative associations. Like the works themselves, the publication makes their genesis visible by connecting the pieces with snapshots and texts in a dialogue. Here, the work is not seen as an independent object of contemplation but as inextricably linked to its surroundings. Micha Zweifel, born in 1987 in Lucerne, lives and works in Rotterdam.
