"Data, frequency, and probability" are topics that even elementary school children encounter in their daily lives. This is reflected in the educational standards established by the Conference of Ministers of Education, which are binding for all federal states. "Data, frequency, and probability" is one of the five guiding principles that should orient the development of content-related mathematical competencies of students, starting from elementary school up to secondary levels. As a result, teachers, often with little or no experience from their training, are more frequently confronted with this topic in the classroom. This book addresses this issue: it provides an introduction to the complex subject from both a mathematical and didactic-methodical perspective, along with a repertoire of examples and suggestions that can be directly applied in teaching.
