Product details

200 million migrant workers are the driving force behind the economic boom in China. In search of a better life, they have left their rural hometowns and made their way to the newly developed industrial hubs. Photographer Wolfgang Müller visited migrant workers from various sectors repeatedly between 2005 and 2011, accompanying them between work and their private daily lives. Through numerous trips, he captured both the scale of internal migration in China and a very personal perspective on their individual realities, goals, and dreams.
