It currently seems almost provocative to discuss the quality of art education as a matter of attitude, rather than focusing on characteristics from which measures for quality improvement can be derived. Artistic educational attitude is a conceptual figure with blurred edges. It is a personally tinted conglomerate of expertise, artistic experiences, pedagogical ideas, ethical and aesthetic beliefs, combined with determination and vitality. But could it not be precisely such a multifaceted entity that makes teaching effective?
