Today we did not go outside. This statement from caregivers at the end of the nursery day disappoints and angers many parents. While we understand that it is very exhausting to dress and undress a whole group of toddlers, this cannot be a reason to deny young children the world of the garden. The film about outdoor activities illustrates, through many examples from nurseries in Berlin and Florence, the various learning opportunities that the garden offers. The play and learning possibilities that nature presents to children cannot be replaced by even the best toys in nursery rooms.
