The authors of the anthology focus on professional and social historical aspects, systematically condensing them and establishing connections to the fields of social professions. Initially, the contributions illuminate the history of various professional profiles and training in social work, such as educators, youth and residential educators, therapeutic educators, special education teachers, or nursing professionals. They further explore important thematic individual aspects within social professions, such as professional identity, gender issues, spirituality, or inclusion. Additionally, the authors provide insights into the practice of school projects as well as vocational education. Topics such as internationalization, digitalization, art, and identity are discussed. The volume was created in the context of the 50th anniversary of the Institute for Social Professions in Ravensburg.
