The aim of this work is to provide a supportive model for self-reflection, trend development, and synergy identification for both the strategy development of the DFG and the WR. This model focuses on modern methods of data science and complements the classical concept of network benchmarking with an additional aspect of analysis. The insights gained can benefit both the scientific system, particularly research clusters, and the economy.
