This publication presents four extraordinary buildings from Lucerne dating back to the early 20th century. Two churches, a barracks, and a schoolhouse have become monuments, serving as visible witnesses to our cultural heritage. Thanks to careful restoration, these structures can still be used today: some continue to serve their original purpose, while others have been revitalized through repurposing. The focus is on photographs of the four monuments designed by Armin Meili, Albert Zeyer, Fritz Metzger, and Otto Dreyer, which showcase the architectural qualities of each building. Descriptions of the construction history, restoration, and the protection status granted by heritage preservation complement the impressive photographs.
