Health represents a central goal in every person's life, which should be pursued or achieved through early health education and promotion. However, individuals with intellectual disabilities often face various disadvantages in this situation, making it difficult for them to achieve and maintain their individual health status. Possible issues include the lack of accessibility to health services, insufficient knowledge about health and illness, and difficult-to-understand materials for health education. As a result, many individuals with intellectual disabilities face an increased health risk, more frequent health problems, and thus a greater need for health education.
