Major corporate law decisions are often reduced to their key statements in essay and commentary literature. This decontextualization and dehistoricization frequently results in the loss of valuable information. This volume aims to analyze selected decisions from 1912 to 2015 in relation to their factual contexts and to shed light on the stories behind these significant cases. From a wealth of individual observations, a vivid overall view emerges regarding the creation and presentation of corporate law decisions and their protagonists. At the same time, looking behind the scenes is intended to make implicit knowledge about corporate law discourse explicit.
