This volume contains contributions to the doctrine of God, Christology, anthropology, and hermeneutics. With a philosophical awareness of problems, Eberhard Jüngel explores, through the model of analogy and metaphor, the question of what deserves to be called truth. In critical engagement with old and new variations of so-called natural theology, he attempts to uncover the approach of a hermeneutics of the self-evident. His texts advocate for a more natural theology and are overall understood as correspondences of the Gospel in the medium of theological reflection. The first two editions of this volume were published by Chr. Kaiser Verlag, Munich. This third edition has been freed from some printing errors and expanded with an index.
