Thé Tjong-Khing, born in Indonesia in 1933, began studying art at the Drawing Academy in Bandung and continued at the School of Applied Arts in Amsterdam in 1956. He has been illustrating children's books since the 1960s, but also taught budding illustrators for many years. By the way, foxes and rabbits could already discover real eye-catchers in Die Torte ist weg!
