In Volume 2, Moritz begins to put words together. Using the method of Polish speech therapist Marta Galewska-Kustra, children learn to speak quickly, well, and with enjoyment, even if they are a bit late in acquiring language. At first, Moritz associated sounds like "Wauwau" or "Tüüt Tüüt" with specific objects, animals, or people. Now he learns new words every day and can even combine them, as some words refer to people or things, while others describe actions, and yet others indicate how and where something or someone is. In short, Moritz can now speak simple sentences. And every day brings something new that requires him to learn new words, whether at home, on the playground, in kindergarten, or at the swimming pool.
