The mountain biking region "Lake Garda Southwest-Valvestino Lake" stretches from Tignale in the north to Salo and Padenghe in the south. The impressive and expansive mountain landscape of the "Parco dell'Alto Garda Bresciano" nature park offers a stunning variety of scenery. South of Salo, the landscape is gentle with numerous hills from the Ice Age, and immediately northwest of Toscolano-Maderno rises the highest peak on the western shore of the lake, the distinctive Monte Pizzocolo at 1,581 m. In the hinterland north of the Valvestino reservoir, the largely undeveloped Lake Garda mountains extend, with the highest peak being Monte Caplone at 1,975 m. The landscape between Tignale and Salo offers diverse and captivating panoramas with a Mediterranean flair.
