The main hearing is the centerpiece of the criminal process. This remains true even after the introduction of procedural agreements by the legislator, who has added the consensual procedure as an additional type of procedure alongside the classic adversarial process. In both cases, the evidence found or negotiated during the main hearing serves as the basis for the judicial decision. The main hearing is also the place where the opposing interests of the parties involved in the process first clash in direct confrontation. Based on decades of experience as a criminal defense attorney, the author not only imparts the necessary procedural knowledge but also places particular emphasis on the tactical and psychological aspects of defense work during the main hearing.
