Practical problems in tour planning are characterized by a multitude of specific conditions and objectives that depend on the industry in question and must be taken into account when determining suitable tour plans. Wolf Wenger designs an interactive decision support system for multi-criteria tour planning problems, presenting a general solution concept for tour planning. It becomes evident that the presented system ensures adaptive alternative generation for varying combinations of target criteria and clarifies existing trade-offs within the considered objectives for the decision-maker.
