More than ever, educators today face the challenge of enabling children and adolescents with migration and refugee experiences to acquire language constructively and thereby develop a positive self-concept. Questions and issues related to identity and identity formation affect all adolescents during puberty and are particularly relevant. The new anthology, featuring contributions from research, best practices, and teaching, demonstrates that music can serve as an important bridge to building a new cultural identity.
