Liv Utstedt, who was engaged with Doctors Without Borders in Uganda, is found dead in the home of the Swedish cultural attaché in Kibuli. She wanted to shake the world awake. The failure of the Ugandan government to address the Lord's Resistance Army, along with corruption and abuse of power, was unbearable for her. The trail of her murderers leads back to the 1980s, when she had an affair with the current president, who was then living in Swedish asylum - the year when Olaf Palme, her role model in the fight against apartheid, was assassinated.
