In child and adolescent psychiatric clinics, an increasing number of children and adolescents are being referred by schools, school psychological services, youth welfare offices, and the police to have their risk potential assessed professionally. Against this backdrop, and also in light of the dramatic shooting incidents in Erfurt, Emsdetten, and Winnenden, the book provides an overview of the latest interdisciplinary research findings as well as attempts to explain the specific dynamics involved, and it presents treatment concepts and prevention approaches.
