New professional roles: Patient Coach, Health Coach, Case Manager. Patients are increasingly becoming voters, decision-makers, information seekers, and consumers. Patient coaching is an offer for patients that they can take advantage of responsibly and that is tailored to their individual needs. Patient coaching is the service that enables patients to navigate the healthcare system effectively and efficiently through information, advice, and organizational support. The coaching takes into account both the professional and private spheres, as well as the integration of the patients' social environment. Self-awareness and personal responsibility are prerequisites that should be at least partially present among insured individuals and patients, but they also require support. Health coaching helps achieve individual goals.
