Abstract: This paper is dedicated to the "sleep disease" narcolepsy. This refers to a condition characterized by abnormal daytime sleepiness, accompanied by an irresistible urge to sleep that sufferers cannot resist. This, along with the existence of a number of accompanying symptoms, poses an enormous burden, as a normal daily routine, like that of healthy individuals, is hardly possible. The daily life of narcoleptics is predominantly determined by their illness and the abnormal sleep behavior that accompanies it.
